How to join Futsal?

WHAT IS FUTSAL?

Futsal is 5-A-Side indoor soccer. Futsal is an abbreviation of the Portuguese phrase “futebol de salon”, which in English means “football in a large room”. Futsal is generally played on wooden or rubber surfaces, but due to the expanding growth of futsal over the years and the lack of courts available across the country, Futsal has branched out and is now played on synthetic and artificial grass.

Redlynch Central Sports Stadium Futsal competitions cater for both the keen footballers and for those who just wish to have a little fun with some friends. There are competitions available for juniors and seniors, males and females of all ages starting from as young as 3 years!!!

5UP Futsal	Saturday mornings
Minor League	Mondays after 4pm
Juniors	weekdays after 4pm
Seniors	weekdays after 6pm

WHAT ARE THE AGE GROUPS?

Kindy Players – this is for 3 to 5 year olds.
5UP Futsal – this is for 5, 6 and 7 year olds.
Minor League – u/7 through to u/10 boys and girls
Juniors – u/11 through to youth boys and girls
Seniors – mens a, mens b, mens c, ladies and mixed a, mixed b and mixed c

WHEN DOES IT START?

Futsal has 2 seasons per year:

Summer Season is from September to February, pre-season will usually begin 1st week of September, and competition usually begins 1st week of October (please be aware that this is an approximate date – please keep an eye on sign-on information, and be aware that Futsal is not usually played over school holidays).

Winter Season is from March to August, pre-season will usually begin mid March, and competition usually begins mid April (please be aware that this is an approximate date – please keep an eye on sign-on information, and be aware that Futsal is not usually played over school holidays).

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Cost of Minor League $250/player; this includes all game fees (including semi final and finals), registration, training, end of season presentation for winners and runners up.
Cost of Junior Futsal $250/player; this includes all game fees (including semi final and finals), registration, and end of season presentation for winners and runners up.
Cost for Senior Futsal players is $90/player for registration and $65/team/game.

How to Join Netball

WHAT IS NETBALL?

The game of netball is a team sport that is played by two teams of seven players; based on throwing and catching. The object is to score goals from within a defined area, by throwing a ball into a ring attached to a 3.05 metres (10 feet) high post.

Our commitment

Electronic communication is essential for sharing stadium news and information with our members. Our communication will be timely, appropriate and related to stadium business.

What we will do

We use a range of electronic tools to communicate with our members.
Our communication will protect members’ privacy, maintain clear boundaries and ensure that bullying and harassment does not occur.

Website

Our website will include current information on competitions, upcoming events, tournaments, rules and by-laws.
No offensive content or photos will be published.
We will seek feedback from members to improve the information available on the site.

SMS and email

SMS messages will be short and only sent to team organisers.
Email communication will be used when more information is required.

Social media websites

We treat all social media postings, blogs, status updates and tweets as public ‘comment’.
Postings (written, photos or videos) will be family-friendly and feature positive club news and events.
No personal information about our members will be disclosed.
No statements will be made that are misleading, false or likely to injure a person’s reputation.
No statements will be made that might bring our club into disrepute.
Abusive, discriminatory, intimidating or offensive statements will not be tolerated. Offending posts will be removed and those responsible will be blocked from the site.

What we ask you to do

We expect our members to conduct themselves appropriately when using electronic communication to share information with other members or posting material on public websites connected to the stadium.
Electronic communication:

should be restricted to club matters
must not offend, intimidate, humiliate or bully another person
must not be misleading, false or injure the reputation of another person
should respect and maintain the privacy of members

Non-compliance

Members may face disciplinary action for sending inappropriate electronic communication or posting online content or comments that harass, offend, intimidate or humiliate another member.
Under certain circumstances, cyber bullying is a criminal offence that can be reported to the police.
In addition, members who publish false or misleading comments about another person in the public domain (e.g., Facebook, YouTube or Twitter) may be liable for defamation.

RCSS Picking Up & Dropping Off Children

Our commitment

Our stadium is committed to providing a safe environment for the participation of children and young people. Part of this is ensuring that children and young people are not left alone after practice or games.

What we will do

- Make sure parents/guardians and children know the time and location of practice and games and when they can expect to collect their children.
- Request coaches and other sporting personnel to arrive before scheduled practice or game times.
- Give coaches a register of parent/guardian emergency contact numbers and make sure they have access to a phone.
- Ensure that if parents/guardians are late, coaches will try to make contact with them and:
  - ask the second to last child and their parent/ guardian to wait with the coach/official and the child
  - avoid transporting children to their homes unless permission has been given by parents/guardians.

What we ask you to do

- Pick your children up on time or make other arrangements.
- Inform the coach about any changes in arrangements for picking up your child.

RCSS Codes of Behaviour

Players Code of Behaviour

Play by the rules.
Never argue with an official. If you disagree, have your captain, coach or manager approach the official during a break or after the match.
Control your temper. Verbal abuse of officials and sledging other players, deliberately distracting or provoking an opponent are not acceptable or permitted behaviours in any sport.
Be a good sport. Applaud all good plays whether they are made by your team or the opposition.
Treat all participants in your sport as you like to be treated. Do not bully or take unfair advantage of another competitor.
Cooperate with your coach, team mates and opponents. Without them there would be no competition.
Participate for your enjoyment and benefit, not just to please parents and coaches.
Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion.

Coaches Code of Behaviour

1. Remember that young people participate for pleasure and winning is only part of the fun.
Never ridicule or yell at a young player for making a mistake or not coming first.
Be reasonable in your demands on players’ time, energy and enthusiasm.
Operate within the rules and spirit of the sport and teach your players to do the same.
Ensure that the time players spend with you is a positive experience. All young people are deserving of equal attention and opportunities.
Avoid overplaying the talented player; the just average need and deserve equal time.
Display control, respect and professionalism to all involved with the sport. This includes opponents, coaches, officials, administrations, parents and spectators. Encourage your players to do the same.
Show concern and caution towards sick and injured players. Follow the advice of a physician when determining whether an injured player is ready to recommence training or competition.
Obtain appropriate qualifications and keep up to date with the latest coaching practices and the principles of growth and development of young people.
Any physical contact with a young person should be appropriate to the situation.
Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion.

Parent/Spectators Code of Behaviour

Remember that children participate in sport for their enjoyment not yours.
Encourage children to participate do not force them.
Focus on the child’s efforts and performance rather than winning or loosing.
Encourage children always to play according to the rules and to settle disagreements without resorting to hostility or violence.
Never ridicule or yell at a child for making a mistake or loosing a match.
Remember that children learn best by example. Appreciate good performances and skilful plays by all participants.
Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from sporting activities.
Respect official’s decisions and teach children to do likewise.
Show appreciation for volunteer coaches, without them your child could not participate.
Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion.
Condemn the use of violence in any form, whether it is by spectators, coaches, officials or players.
Show respect for your team’s opponents without them there would be no game.
Do not use foul language, sledge or harass players, coaches or officials.
Applaud good performance and efforts from all individuals and teams. Congratulate participants on their performance regardless of the games outcome.

Our commitment

Our stadium is committed to providing a safe environment for participation. Aggressive, threatening or other inappropriate behaviour by members, their families, their friends, and other sporting personnel while attending a game or event will not be tolerated.
These behaviours are outlined in our Code of Behaviour and specifically include:

Using bad language.
Harassing or ridiculing players, coaches, officials or other spectators.
Making racist, religious, sexist or other inappropriate comments to players, coaches, officials or other spectators.
Any threatening behaviour or physical altercation between spectators and players, coaches, officials or other spectators.
Putting undue pressure on children, berating them or putting down their performance.
Drinking at a game or training or being drunk at a club event.

What we will do

Provide members, their parents and other sporting personnel with our Code of Behaviour and make clear what is expected and the consequences of non-compliance.
Reinforce messages of fair and respectful behaviour by displaying signs and posters around our facilities and providing information on our website, in our newsletter and through other club communication.
Encourage our coaches and officials to complete training to develop their skills and confidence.
Ban bringing alcohol to training, a game or tournaments.
Consult with our local police and seek their support and advice on how to handle issues involving inappropriate behaviour by spectators prior to, at or after a game.
Encourage the reporting of incidents and investigate inappropriate behaviours as outlined in this policy and take disciplinary or whatever other actions as are deemed necessary (e.g. appoint a ground official to monitor behaviour).
Encourage our players, coaches, officials and spectators to call the police if they are concerned about escalating behaviour and their safety or the safety of others.

What we ask you to do

Help create a positive atmosphere for players, officials and other spectators by showing respect for players, officials and other spectators.
Abide by our stadium’s Code of Behaviour and refrain from using bad language, harassing or ridiculing others or behaving in a threatening or violent manner.
If you are aware of inappropriate spectator behaviour and you feel confident to do so, speak with the person and ask them to stop. If not, ask the centre manager for assistance.
Report any inappropriate spectator behaviour to the centre manager.
Call the police or centre manager if you are concerned for your safety or the safety of others.

Non-Compliance

Anyone found to have behaved inappropriately, and are not abiding our stadium’s Code of Behaviour may be asked to leave or face disciplinary action.

Insurance Claim Procedure

To make a claim please follow the following procedure:

The claimant goes onto sportscover where they can locate an online claim form or call up to discuss with a claims officer.
The following is the link to sportscover: https://au.sportscover.com/claimrequest/pa – and you will need to quote the following
policy number: Policy No. PMEL990106944 – (personal accident)
A claim pack will be sent out to claimant with additional info and policy documents.
A benefit to sportscover claims department is that it is in house claims handling.

New FAF Futsal Rules Simplified

The game of Futsal is played on an indoor or outdoor court or field and it will measures from 15mtrs wide to 30mtrs long, or for International Standard it will be 40mtrs x 20mtrs with 3mtrs x 2mtr goal posts.
From a kick off, the ball must be played forward. A goal CANNOT be scored directly from a kick off.
A team consists of 5 players, 4 court players and 1 goalkeeper, the maximum number of players in a team is up to 12.
Unlimited substitutions. Players can re-enter the game as many times by notifying the referee, this also includes the goalkeeper (games will be stopped for substitutions when the ball is out of play).
There is NO offside in Futsal, and players can score from anywhere on the court of play.
When the ball goes out over the sideline, it is to be thrown in from the sideline:
1. The player who is to throw the ball, will stand out of the court area at the same point were the ball left the court.
2. He will stand with both feet flat on the ground and toes pointing to the court, the feet must not touch the sideline.
3. Feet may be joined or apart but must remain stationary while the throw is in progress, the heel must also remain on the ground while the throw is in progress, so the feet remain on the floor without losing contact with the floor.
4. The ball will be thrown in with both hands, with the movement beginning from behind the head and making an arch above the head towards the court of play and releasing the ball.
5. Your feet must remain stationary but you can twist your body in the direction you are to throw the ball.
6. You must be facing in the direction of were the ball is to be thrown before the action of the throw begins.
7. As the ball leaves the hands it must form an arc in the air. So the ball cannot be pegged into play.
When the ball goes out over the goal line last being touched by a defending player then a corner throw is awarded to the attacking team. It will be made in the same way as the sideline throw, with the exception of the placement of feet of the thrower, they will be located at the right angle formed by the goal line and the side line, meeting at the corresponding corner, both feet not touching the lines, but otherwise subject to the same limitations as the side line throw.
For a ball to be out of play or a goal scored, ALL of the ball must be over the line. See below:
A goal cannot be scored directly from a sideline throw or corner throws, unless the ball touches one of the attacking or defending players before the ball enters the goal, if it touches the defending goalkeeper in his area and goes in a goal will not be awarded and a corner throw will be awarded to the attacking team.
The goalkeeper cannot throw the ball over the half way line on the court on the full, and ones the Goalkeeper uses their hands to handle the ball, they must throw the ball back into play and another player must touch the ball before the goalkeeper can touch the ball again, however if the goalkeeper does not handle the ball with their hands, they are free to kick the ball any length of the court and even score.
The Goalkeeper is not allowed into the oppositions half.
Goal Clearance or Goalkeepers throw, the goalkeeper throws the ball from the marked goal area to restart play after the ball has gone over the goal line, last being touched by an attacking player, the ball is in play after it has left the goal area.
The goalkeeper has 5 seconds time limit to control the ball and release it from his/her possession.
Goalkeepers are not allowed to pick up the ball with their hands from a deliberate back pass (by feet) from any of their team mate, however they are allowed to pick it up from a sideline throw or corner throw in their own goal keepers area.
Each team has 15 seconds to get the ball into the oppositions half unless touched by the opposition, if not done so then a sideline throw will be awarded to the opposition nearest where the ball was when time elapsed.
No tackling from behind or dangerous slide tackling is allowed.
The game has a 5 second time limit for all throw ins, corners and free kicks.
Free Kicks, the opposition must be back 3mtrs from the taking of any free kicks.
Dangerous play is not allowed.
Each team has 5 team fowls per half, any fowls after the fifth will be penalised with a 9 meter penalty shot by the opposition.
During the game, a referee has the option of using 3 cards, Yellow, Blue and Red (yellow is a warning, Blue is a send-off with no suspension and Red is a send off with suspension and front the judiciary).
Referees have the right to warn, ask to leave or eject from the Stadium, any Coach, Manager, spectator or player whom they feel is bringing the game into disrepute.
Only the team Captain or Coach/Manager can approach the referee to ask a question or ask for timeouts and substitutions.
The team Captain must be on the court of play, if the Captain is substituted or leaves the court of play for whatever reason the Captaincy role will be passed onto another court player.
The referee’s decision is final.
There are slight adjustments to some rules for the adult mixed competition. A copy of these rules can be found on our website or at our front counter.

Players Infringements

Referees will be officiating with the 3 card system.
- YELLOW CARD – Cautionable Offences (2 yellows = 1 Blue)
- BLUE CARD – Player is sent off for the remainder of that game (no suspension) and can be replaced by another player.
- RED CARD – Player is sent off. Player will not participate in remainder of the game and will have an automatic suspension of 1 game in that particular competition, and possible front the judiciary & further suspensions)
All player sent off for disciplinary actions can be replaced by another player in their team if nominated to play in that game.
Should a player be sent from the field for a red card offence, the referee will record the players Name and fill out the SEND OFF report.

Serious Foul Play Constitutes

Stopping an obvious goal scoring opportunity by tripping, holding, impeding, and handball.
Deliberate kicking an opponent.
Deliberate elbowing an opponent.
Violent tackle from behind.
Over the ball tackle.
Is guilty of serious foul play.
All these are cautionable offences with a yellow or red card depending on the severity of the infringement (referees discretion).

Serious Violent Conduct Constitutes

Striking an official or player.
Spitting at an official or player.
Threaten an official or player with physical violence.
Attempting to strike an official or player with ball or other object.
Threaten the safety of an official or player.
Pushing an official with open hand, shoulder or hip.
All these are red card/suspension and must appear in judiciary.

Use of Foul and Abusive Language Constitutes

Making obscene gestures.
Offensive insults or abusive language.
All these are cautionable offences with a yellow, blue or red card depending on the severity of the infringement (referees discretion).
